Independent counselors
Your students, your hours, your lists. And a portal the families open on their phones.
You run twenty to sixty students on your own: the calls, the drafts, the deadlines, the parents, and the hours you sell by the package. Via keeps all of it on the student, logs the hour where the work happens, and gives every family a page with your name on it.
A week today
The sheet, the timer, the inbox. Three places the work goes to get lost.
The sheet
Hours in a spreadsheet, filled in on Friday from memory. Nobody knows which package pays, and the tenth hour of a fifteen-hour package goes by unnoticed.
The timer
A timer that did not get started for the call that ran long, and the note of that call in a different app than the task it created.
The inbox
A parent asks what is due. The answer is in your sent mail, their text thread and the student’s memory, and by Thursday you are asked again.
The student
Every note, call and task on the student. Not in five apps.
A call is a note with its minutes. A draft is a file on the student. A task has a due date the student sees on their phone. The test scores, the lists with the reason for each college, the applications with their steps: all on one record, in the order it happened, with the email a parent sent you filed beside it.
Written once
A note takes the call’s time, its files and the minutes it took. Nothing is typed twice, and nothing waits for Friday.
Found in a second
One key opens the search: a student, a college, a note by its words. The feed shows the last thing that happened at the top, unread until you have seen it.
Email that files itself
Forward a parent’s email to the student’s address in Via and it lands on the record with its attachments, filed and findable.
The hours
Logged as you go. The report at the end of the month.
The thirty minutes of a call are logged on the call’s note, a meeting the same, anything else on the student’s Time tab with a start and a duration and no timer to remember. The report adds them up per student and month against the package the family bought, so you see the tenth hour of a fifteen-hour package before it is the sixteenth.
Billable and billed
Every entry carries its billing state. What is unbilled this month stands at the top of the Time tab, and one click marks it billed.
Against the package
Each student’s hours beside their package. The package that costs more than it sells shows itself in red before the invoice does.
A CSV for the accountant
The month’s entries with the student, the day, the duration and the description, downloaded in one click.
The family portal
Your name on their phone. A firm of one looks like a firm.
The student opens a Home with what is next: the tasks you set, the deadlines, the applications with their steps, your messages. The parents see the week and what changed. Your logo and your company’s name head every page; Via stands in the small print. Nothing to install: a web page on any phone, added to the home screen.
The student does the task there
A task says how it gets done: “Mark as completed”, “Attach the file”. The draft lands on the record, and you see it in the feed.
The parents read, and stop asking
A guardian sees the child’s week, the plan with each step’s owner and what changed, read only. The Monday email says the same.
Messages, not texts
A note you share is a message with a subject and files. The student writes back, and the thread stays on the record, not in your phone.
The price at your size
$25 per student and year. The portal, the migration and the pilot included.
Via starts at $1,500 a year for up to 60 students, and every student above that is $25 a year, billed once a year. A student you archive after their decision costs nothing from the next renewal.

When you hire
Grows into a firm. Without another migration.
The second counselor is a user you add, with the students you assign. The caseload shows both of you, the hours report both columns, the portal the same name. Nothing is exported, imported or retyped, and the price stays the same per student.
- An admin sees the firm, a counselor their students; nobody re-enters anything.
- One template of steps every application starts from, kept once for the firm.
- The hours stay with the students when a counselor leaves.
Two questions
Asked by counselors on their own. The rest are on the FAQ page.
How is time tracked?
Where the work happens: on a note, a call or a meeting, with a start time and a duration, or on the student’s Time tab. The hours report shows the time per student, counselor and month, so you know what a package costs.
Do students and parents need an app?
No. The portal is a web page that works on any phone and can be added to the home screen. It carries your name and logo, so to the family it is your app.
See Via with your own students in it.
A 30-minute demo in your afternoon, then a 60-day pilot with your data imported. No card, nothing to install.
